Wharfedale WH180 aftermarket car audio
« on: 04 May 2009, 22:33:27 »

The aftermarket car audio didn't work in my miggy when I bought it. Have bought a cheap one from North Weald market - only £10. but no manual.  Everything works good except can't pair my Nokia mobile with the audio unit via bluetooth.  Keeps say 'pairing failed'.

Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks

Have searched the net - no good.  Thought there would be help here. So many experts.

There is more than one version of Bluetooth protocol. If you have an iPhone or late model Nokia, most of the "pre 2009" Bluetooth Car Stereos will not pair with them.

For nokia, their is software for the phone that can resolve this, a friend of mine who is clever with these things, showed me how a nokia n96 would not pair. Then he did something clever with his computer to the phone and hey presto it paired. I know he downloaded the program off the internet some where, I will try to find out more when I see him

I would be interested to know the solution for this one.

What model phone was it, and was the solution to downgrade to a previous version of Bluetooth?
