you can check the software level in the car so-->
Turn please the equipment on and select:-

Ø attitudes
Ø system information
Ø configuration

and write the data from the screen:

Ø Number :
Ø Number :
Ø Number :
Ø Week :
Ø Year :

eg.:-

PART NUMBER...SY587/02 ---Carin 522

HW NUMBER...0201 ---Hardware number

SW NUMBER...0460 ---0490 Software level

PROD WEEK...24 ---Equipment production 24. Week in the year 1999

PROD YEAR...99 ---Equipment production in the year 1999

The older ones only take up to v2.3 software, as they are slightly different hardware.

What is the most up to date Carin unit you can get for the mini-facelift?
Model number etc...

They look identical.  See the link from Jule's how2 for id numbers.

581 goes to 2.3, 582 goes to 4.9 (I imagine 2.3 and 4.9 are functionaly idntical)
