Ruh roh!  Been saying Setup will complete in 39 minutes for a while now.  :(

Btw, how do I get this website to stop asking me about the clipboard every time I post?  I forgot.  :-[

Just in case, here is the link.

Gert rid of IE and use Firefox ....  easier, better, less buggy and it ain't micros**t  ;)
The first 2 are opinion, the last is proven to be untrue - in the last 12 months, FF has had way more critical CERT warnings than IE...

Use Firefox if thats what you prefer, but do not get suckered in to the open source mindset that it is the most secure/bug free stuff out there, as Firefox actually has the worse record of the popular browsers...

And incidentally, the Linux kernel has had loads more CERT warnings that the Windows Kernels in the last 12 months, and that includes a new OS released in Nov (corporates)/Feb (Consumers)...

There is a school of thought that both FF and Linux now have enough "general users" for the idiots that do these things to think it is now worth "attacking" .. up until now the user base was too small for it to be worth it ... which is used to explain the recent rise in CERT warnings ...

Now how true that is I have no idea .. the logic makes sense .. I don't see latest versions of FF/ Linux suddenly being  LESS secure than older versions !!

Yes, I suscribe to that theory - remember the flaws they are finding now generally affect earlier versions as well.  I always said Windows took security flack due to its popularity...

Incidentally, of all the Internet facing servers I have supported, a few without proper firewalls in front, the only ones that have been compromised through the OS itself have all been Linux ones...

I was at a security conference about 2 years ago when one of the speakers actually stated that his "prefered" server OS was a windows one ... his reasoning was that most high end servers used linux based OS, therefore any "serious" attacker would assume a windows based server to hold no worthwhile data and so not bother !!!! I won't comment on how THAT line of reasoning went down with the audience ..:)
