i'm looking at a 3.0 elite manual with a wheel wobble at speeds between 30 & 70 it also occurs under braking other than that car seems ok but any advise on this would be great but any tips in general will also be very helpful

Sounds like steering idler if the gap in speeds is that much. if around 50-55mph I would ahve said wheel balance.

Had the same problem, I replaced both front brake discs and front wheel bearing (which needed doing anyway) and the problem was 100% cured, on balance I believe that the discs were probably causing the problem in the first place and not the wheel bearings. So I suggest changing front discs and pads – use only original GM though and not low-cost pattern ones.

Hi, could be a number of things, possibly been kerbed hard and buckled the wheel, the lower wishbones need replacing, warped discs or faulty shocks. Only way to find out is to get it in the air and have a look. Someone wiser will probably be along with more options, but that is my knowledge used up.

To clarify, my problem was only under braking at speed – no wobble when driving normally, so yours may be different to mine.

I wouldn’t say that… we had various complaint regarding wheel wobble – and I had a problem as said – but it is not a ‘common’ issue… it happens but not very often and there is no one main cause for it. Like any other car it is usually down to warped discs / damaged wheels/ worn suspension components / wheel balancing etc etc , you’ll have to work out what went wrong in your case…
