Yes mate... there will be some improvement, plus the 2.2 is manual

i absoloutly love that car. My fav omegahas always be the 2.2 sport and that with an irmscher body  :ykit aswell, thats what i call a car!

I found little difference between 2.0 and 2.6 auto on consumption, also autos are kinder to the van

Hmmmmm whys that Martin, i have towed for 12 years in Manuals and never found any issues by using a manual.    :question :question

Less jerking on the tow hitch = less shock loading on the tow bar, ball, hitch and A frame, manual clutches do wear more. But main thing is not having to change gear.
