And following our discussion about Westfield handling on the way back here the other night :o

Handling didn't come into it. The only control I had was the effect of the front wheels acting as a rudder in the oncoming airflow. Road surface was ice with running water trickling over it. :o

'dangle berries' - really sorry to hear that Kevin.  Could have been a lot worse of course - metal and plastic are repairable/replacable -other softer things are a different matter..

Do you think you'll get it back together in time for the summer (if we get those 2 days this year..)?

Spoke to Westfield and they can turn a chassis repair around in "a few days". :o

I'll be impressed if they are as good as their word.

Will take me a darn sight longer to strip / rebuild I suspect. ;D

Arse! :'( :'( :'(

I assume it's a tubular chassis... Could you not just replace the bent sections :-? :-?

Mind you... Still an engine out job I suppose :( :(

Perhaps some of those "Upgrades" will need to be fitted at the same time ::) ;)

Chassis itself is simple enough but repairing distortion in the centre isn't going to be feasible without jigging it IMHO.  Think I'll see what Westfield say about repairing it. I believe they will fit a new front section but it does need to be stripped bare.

Perhaps it's an opportunity. it was starting to look a little tired anyway, if I'm honest.

Would have preferred to have started a rebuild in about November in an ideal world. ;D

Anyone got a V6 I can put a tape measure to? Help! Stop me!

Kevin
2 cylinders short of a suitable replacement engine ;)  :-X

Seight?

Seight?

Totaly different chassis.....

I suspect it could be done given that they're probably rebuilding the engine bay forwards. A little bit of extra bracing around the diff is all I can recall being different at the rear.

But no, I think it will get a bit of lightening and a good tidy up (it was ready for that TBH).
