I'm as soft as pig sh!t, I'd do anything for anyone, but if anyone close to me is getting hurt, I turn.

A bit like an alsasian I guess  :-/

While ultimately it's kind of internally satisfying, take it from me... you do NOT want to go down that road......  The legal ramifications are easier to acquire than to dispose of.....   even making threats can carry a jail sentence... "affray" for example...  is a public disorder charge that can be raised without actual physical violence occurring. They only need to show reasonable cause to believe your threats of violence for you to be able to be charged for it.

nor do you want to get any local or directly relatable mates involved....

of course, if someone you wouldn't know from Adam should happen to turn up and give the toe-rag a right going over.....   completely unbeknownst to you....  then you have no need to show the slightest remorse or sympathy......

like, maybe someone you never actually met on the net.....

Okay so maybe it was slightly foolish of you to publish the toe-rag's details, whilst surfing down at the local Cyber-cafe,  as a "warning" to others not employ their family's services for house or baby sitting in future.... but YOU never thought any real harm would come of it ..,...  it was as a preventative and protective measure that you did so...   definitely NOT in the hope someone would actually turn up and smack seven shades of shite out of them....

james from my experience if anyone is in fear, disturbed or caused to be alarmed then it is a case for the police to investigate.
i was arrested by rmp's when i was in the forces for suspicion of harrassement (while i was 140 miles away at the time) the reason this happened was my ex devil woman stated that she was in fear of me.
they were so quick on it they neglected to check the distance from my base to her home!

I should warn you, your girlfriend (the victim) will be the person who gets charged with a misdemeanor or fined. The other parties involved (i.e. the agressor) will most likely get some free cake or something nice.

Thats true - the police are notorious for this sort of thing. Seems as if they don't like doing their own jobs, but like it even less if somebody shows them how to do it!
