 A dead or soon to be deceased battery means the car is effectively worthless.

Most batteries are pretty well f*ucked after 8 years, so who would buy a 4,5, or 6 year old EV?

The only study I've seen on the subject seems to indicate that batteries retain just over 80% capacity at 10yrs and/or 200,000 miles.

Clearly data won't be easy to interpret as both age and mileage are factors and a 9yr old car with 50k on it will likely have a better battery condition than an 8yr old with 250k on it.

Anyway, read/judge for yourself. I suspect EVs are one of those things that people have made their minds up about and data/statistics won't change that.
