Going back to original post,law or no law if I had a cabriolet I would certainly restrain any dog whilst driving it,especially with the roof down

Bungee cords to the roll bar. Depending how adventurous your hound is affects how tight you fasten them...

I think my friend will need a cargo net to restrain her lab in a cabriolet.    He's a big bouncy juvenile black lab, who needs a firm hand and a lot more training!
