I had that code on a AR25 box And the thunp into gear ETC.. we decided it was the 2-3 solenoid ..fitted a known good box in the end

Bit of a dilemma,for Paul,but I would.....knowing what I know through two past experiences with this problem,then it's a replacement gearbox for me.....bit of a sh** deal having just got the car, but one of my 3.2'came with only 40k genuine miles on the clock from the old bill.It had the same fault and that's probably why they got rid,I lived with it for 10 years by sticking it into sport mode to stop the box from slipping and thumping when it decided to play up.Box now replaced and life is a lot smoother
