Hi OOFers. Hope everyone is well. Im well.

Have owned my Omega 2.2 since March 2011 and she been good to me, had timing belt (Cam belt) changed 5 months ago or so...but issue is i only got timing belt but the dealers and garages could not get hold of the 2 IDLERS and the TIMING BELT TENSIONER so they put back old ones whilst i try to find new ones (which i have been told are on back order). So only hope for now is for one of you OOFers to rescue me here especially those in the UK as they seem to have these parts readily available.

If anyone is willing to help me on this please PM me so arrangehow to wire the  cash so i can be sorted out quick.. its always cheaper there anyway.........

Please assist.

Hi,
Just had the cam belt done on mine, they also recommend the water pump to be done becoze if that seizes has same efect as cam belt going . Your looking at about 180 sterling with belt tensioners and idelers and water pump :y

yeah guys ....thanks a ton for responding to how i can get the 2 Idlers and Timing Belt Tensioner for the 2.2 Omega.

Hi,

i changed the water pump when the mechanics did the timing belt. (they might have crooked me though since i didnt see them changing it) Omega is called "Import car" in Namibia since only 2 of them were sold local at GM dealer, hence the difficulty is sourcing any parts locally even South Africa doesn't have these parts.

Omega 2.2 started overheating because of a leaky header tank cap causing the engine to overheat.  the mechanic confirmed by "fear" ... my head gasket needs to be done. but i think i am kind of cool with it cause he said "look its just a normal maintenance job that a car needs to go through at one time or another in its life time, we can fix it".

I hope all turns out well.
