The antifreeze will help during the winter months from freezing the S##T  ;D
Not before it has killed all the cats, and wild life first
You said down the Bog  ???, There should be a better system in place for chemicals like these.. Then again the excuse they could use is it should be done at a garage.
Flushed down the toilet is fine :y (though if you have a sceptic tank check with whoever empties it as they might pour it into the nearest stream :-\). If it has an open overflow probably not such a bright idea :-\

That's my worry.. The company who empties it is a fairly big firm, No idea where they empty it though..
Down the bog ;D ;D ;D

Think i'm over thinking this situation.  :-\

I don't think so, but don't forget to save a sample to send off for analysis.  ;)

I don't think so, but don't forget to save a sample to send off for analysis.  ;)

The only options i have that i can see without causing too much hassle..

1. Take a gamble with the bog method. (Too risky in my eyes)

2. Put the waste in bottles or a container (with flushing there will be a lot of liquid) to take to the waste centre some 30miles. But I don't know if the take antifreeze haven't checked. This is only a possible option.

3. Leave it as it is and to hell with all this just add a but of new red stuff (I like this option ::) :P)

4. Take it to a garage to get done.

5. Sell it on eBay for 0.01p & free delivery or collection only, someone's bound to buy it, Those eBay sheep will flock.

6. ...........................................................................?

7. ...........................................................................?

....I'll take a sample with a syringe also for good measure  :y  ;D

Received the Antifreeze a few days ago, Have't had time to do it as of yet.

Says on the bottle this stuff has poison prevention safeguard. Should make things simpler next time.

It is still toxic :( it just has 'bitterex' added so that creatures aren't attracted to the sweet taste of antifreeze if you leave a puddle on the ground.

Try typing your postcode into this gov.uk website Hazardous Waste Disposal

If you are lucky it will  take you to the waste disposal page for your local council (and tell you that they will accept it)

I live in a very hard water area and have always used a water filter.  The kettle never furs up and so far my washers are clear so hopefully the radiator is also clear.  Only problem is the cost of the filters which are Brita.
