impressive, wish i could do that! when would you like to do mine and for how many beers?!

yeah but try prooving that he pulled out, i cant see that there going to go on what the driver behind says.

Theres nothing to tell the insurance company or court that the driver behind isnt a friend or something.

Sorry but I dont think it will stand!

mot sure if i misunderstood this? has he actually hit your car? I read it as if you have swerved out of the way and hit the bank?

If he hasnt made any contact with your car, as annoying as it will be for you, if he hasnt made contact there can be no claim.

If he did actually hit you its a different story, he is liable.

Personally I'm against such a scheme, this is a friendly forum, any such "system" can lead to competition/back biting/false accusations etc etc...:(

One persons idea of "good advice" can be very different to anothers.. and  at worst, it could stop folks posting opinions...  :(

The post sponsored by the "Keep The Forum Friendly Movement" :)

at the end of the days its down to the person reading the advice wether they choose to trust it or not, so i dont see this being a problem.

your right though, but it just popped into my head & thought i'd suggest it see what peoples reactions are. seems most are against so far!

maybe its possible to keep the star system as well then, stars as they are, then maybe rep points below?

Has anyone ever thought about rep points? for example, if somebody gives you a good piece of advice, or helps you out? you give them a rep?

maybe make the number of reps you get mount up to stars, instead of just by the post count?

Not sure about others, but I would sooner put into action a piece of advice given by a senior member than a newbie, because i dont know why but it gives me the feeling they know what they are talking about.

But people that know little about omegas can stell become senior member just by posting about a load of rubbish!

If there was a rep system, it would show that they have given good advice before, so if you do something they say,l then its likely to work?

The site is very very good, just thought i'd throw in an idea (wether its good/bad or wont work) see what people think!

I've got an NHS digital aid in each ear. I'm supposed to have lost 40/50% of upper range hearing through using noisy machines in my business, which is a real PITA, and whilst the aids do help a lot they cause problems of their own.
I've currently got both ears inflamed, (through recent underwater swimming at Center Parcs I reckon) and intend to get my ears syringed when they return to normal to see if it helps.
Do you have to prepare with wax softeners first?

yes, my doctor used to tell me to do it with warm olive oil day and night, lie on one side, drop a bit in, read a book or something for a while whilst lying on that side, then do the same for the otherside, it loosens the wax.

I lost my olive oil dropper so now use NOWAX, it comes with a dropper bottle, and is very very good and uses natrual ingridients!

i used to get mine done every 2 years, i love it, and bullet size pieces drop out! yuk! i am a clean person too! the nurse told me never to use cotton buds becuase they push the wax in futher and compress it down.

I am due to go back soon, i am very deaf at the moment, I have tried otex, oilve oil etc, have started using NOWAX eardrops, its 100% natrual,  you can see it working, but only thing is i randomly get bits of wax dropping out my ears! YUK.

tried ear candles, my cousin is a beautician she recommended them, but the didnt work for me, all the done was nearly burnt my ear and set my bed on fire (probably not the best place to do it) but for me they were a complete waste of money & expensive. I guess they work for some and not for others.

I am a 17th Edition trained, NAPIT (National  Assoiciation for Professional Inspectors & Testers) Approved electrician.

I need a mechanic, so if anyone is in my area & re-quires a re-wire, extra sockets/lights, new fuseboard, power to a garage/shed, periodic inspection or whatever, maybe we could come to an agreement and help each other out?!  :y
