Omega General Help / Self levelling Suspension
« on: 29 August 2009, 01:22:44 »
Can anyone recommend a good set of springs and shocks for my 3.2 Saloon and a place to purchase them from, it has self levelling suspension, I have noticed that the O/S/R self levelling shock is wet. Will possibly consider lowering it.

Thanks guys - good cleaning of breathers required - will this cure the oil leaking into the plug wells or is gaskets also required?

Hi all have noticed my 2.5 V6 idles at a high rev when cold (about 1400 rpm) is there any way to reduce this?

« on: 24 August 2009, 20:56:51 »
I changed oil about a fortnight ago so oil is nice and clean although oil in plug wells is dirty.
Is there any way of checking if breathers are blocked - someone suggested if oil is spitting from dipstick that is an indicator. :'(

Omega General Help / Oil in plug wells

Hi all decided to change spark plugs in the 2.5 V6 Omega today to find that on two of the passenger side plug wells (not the middle one) there was oil in them, not too much in the front one but quite a bit in the back one - what's your thoughts? - drivers side clean as a whistle.

The screws are either M4 or M5 screws about 30mm long and should be easy to get on ebay, hardware shop etc, also BBA Reman should be able to provide spares. :y

bit of masking tape over them would have been cheaper though - LOL.
Have a good haggle with him hopefully he'll knock a bit off for you - good luck. :y

That's unfortunate but the large plug should have been removed first (if it could have been) as it allows for better access to the bottom screws, at the least you would have saved the time at the screws, it's a pity it didn't work out for you but I hope you have it sorted with minimal expense, I feel you are looking at a day or so's labour, you would be better to get a quote first, at least then you know where you stand.
Good luck mate.  :y
