ok thanx, i think ill try the hacksaw route as that seems to be a definate answer or should i get plusgas aswell? how much is plusgas? :-?

Roughly the same price as WD40 shite ;)
not everyone carries plusgas as stock in the home but more do of wd even if it is less effective still worth trying ::) ::)

Omega General Help / Re: Anyone got 255/40/17's on th rear
« on: 16 April 2009, 22:31:23 »
I'm running 235/40/18s all round and they are wider than 7 1/2" wide too be exact they are 9 1/4"give and take a mill or so I'm using 20mm spacers all round as they are close to the dampers on the front with out them
255s 10 inch may be gettin tight I'm not sure what clearance you will have on your inner arch
you could consider having the arches rolled and flared a bit so there is clearance if they are going to rub
but it all seems a lot off messing about too me too have to fork out for just some slightly wider rear rims a merc 55 AMG uses that sort of width of tyre due to the the power output that the omega DOSNT have i don't think the cost will mirror the gain if there was one when you have lots of horses or use it on a track tricked out to the max i cant see the point that's only my opinion!!!!! :)

Maybe keyfob on its way out or may just need resetting.  Put key in ignition turn on and press keyfob until doors look (IIRC)

Someone will be along to confirm it soon
the key works everytime to just lock but not on the double press to dead lock
whats(IIRC)mean :-?

Omega General Help / Re: 4 alarm beeps?
« on: 16 April 2009, 15:48:07 »
you can reset alarm by holding down bonnet switch for approx 10 seconds then release.

if your not sure if it works leave window open lock the car wait 30 seconds or so then lean in too the car the and wave your arms about abit (yes you will look silly doing it) alarm should sound

dont know about the 4 beeps though mate

Omega General Help / Re: Shakes when brakes are hot
« on: 16 April 2009, 23:24:45 »
if it is only when the breaks are hot this may suggest that the calipers are not releasing fully and due to the heat causing expansion the pads start to bind causing the wheel to shake
is there a hot/burning smell from the brakes when you stop or any noise from the brakes slight scraping/ squealling noise when driving :question :question :question
