Suppose you've weighed up the option of a LPG conversion for the LR v the Omega option.
Is that 15mpg you quote running solo or do you tow a caravan?

Mick

Solo - being careful! ;D

No contest then LPG Omega!!!
Was think of this for towing, but like you say petrol prices keep rising each week now you may as well sell.
Good luck if you sell, but not for me.

I was still at work then.  :(
Did get up an hour earlier than I normally do, maybe couldn't sleep knowing the Omega's in for MOT today. [smiley=undecided.gif]

fingers crossed it won't be too bad then

Well it wasn't.....in fact good went through no problems at all.
Only 2 advisories which I did know about, back tyres are getting close to need replacing & front brake pads are low.
All will be done very soon.

Taking the TD estate in tomorrow for the dreaded test.
Last year it passed with flying colours, no advisories.
This year I'm not so confident, may need wishbones or something done to the steering.
Thought about doing the wishbones pre test, but then I will wait and see what the MOT test brings.

Question......
If say my MOT expires at the end of April but I took it in for a test now and it failed, can I still use the car until the current cert expires.
In other words does the failure note say not to be used until you do required work,  I know I can drive it for a booked retest.

Yeah got one of those came with the estate, only thing is things slide around a bit on the shiny rubber surface so I lay an old sheet over it.
Rear looks almost brand new as it's been covered up with that for most of it's life.

Gave them the old heave oh last year when they upped my premium by £60......Asked them  why do loyal customers have to pay for discounts for new customers, they had no answers to that.
Most insurance co give new customers better deals nowadays.
I'm now with Liverpool Victoria (Frizzell) in another life, and they have given me a good deal so far.

From him winning the car to leaving feedback, less than 24 hours.
Now that is swift work, me smells something dodgy.
But they could have been local and eager to get it, who knows.

It always makes me suspicious when they say in the listing..."I don't have the V5 log book at present, but I have applied for a new one"....I've seen so many cars listed on ebay saying this, yet he's owned it for x number of years. Hmm!

I needed something heavy enough to tow my 1460kg caravan and be economical as well, the 2.5TD estate fitted the bill nicely. Also it has help shift no end of gear down to Oxford to my daughters flat no problem, that's saved having to hire a van as well. It's just returned an average 32mpg doing nearly 900 miles of which around 600 would have been towing the caravan. Not bad for a big old black beast.
