General Car Chat / Debadge Boot ?
« on: 10 February 2015, 20:18:24 »
hi Guys,
i seen a Omega estate in black today.
all the fancy big spoilers on,real gloss, black rear lights etc. looked amazing.
private plate too.
2 double endpipes and sounded amazing too.
now i couldnt keep up with it when he speeded up on the A38. and i dont have a diesel, but this one just gone away.
guessing some 3 litre or even bigger. lol
it was a facelift, - bonnet gave it away.

thinking bout debadging the boot on mine now.
i know the omega writing, also the 2,5 v6 they all stick on and can be removed with a hairdryer and t cut.

my question\\; is the vauxhall badge which is in the top middle just a stick on one or is this somehow otherwise attached?
dont want to start and have to end up with filler and respray.

Thanks

 :o
maybe interesting.

don't give me wrong, that is my personal experience with this car.
i wasn't happy about it and for the money i suposse spend, which i got back completly, it should be a perfect car.

if i wouldn't have this experience i may would go for another one.
they look nice.

but burned kit avoids fire.

anyway, now with 2 dogs and want my comfortable space i dont think it would suit my needs. ha ha
would also look stupid with a caravan on the back.

General Discussion Area / Re: The more I see/hear about religion....

 :D
The Human Individual is the worst Animal on Earth.
Allways out for there own Good.
from being Selfish, to Money and Goods, Water and Foot, Hate of others invading there Space, killing for having what others own.
Dont matter what the excuses are.
today is called Religion because everything else is not allowed to use because a Goverment said this is not nice.

Fact:
you never get all people together and everybody loves the other.
would be easier if Goverment stop making rules of wars, and decide for people who they have to like.
at least the cheap excuse of religion would be gone.

i can wait untill Humans starting this religion hunt again official like humans did in the past.

me personal - i don't care what religion people believe in, leave me alone with it, otherwise i give them some religion in there face.
i don't want to hear anything about it.
you can be muslim, jewish, budda, or whatever, do what you want, at  home behind closed doors and don't tell me about it, and do not await from me to believe in it or accept yours.

Me,
i don't go to any church, or preach or even have a picture of any so called good.
never meet on so far.

my religion is myself, my family, my property, and what I believe is good for me.
anybody invading this with some ideas of any rules and regulations of a religion written in a book invades my personality and this makes a problem for them.

i don't really care what's written in an dusty old book by someone i never meet in flesh.

i it helps.
i bought a brand new one when they just came out.
what a waste of money.

i wanted a purple one with black leather and all the toys you could have.
as i ordered it when opel shut down for summer holidays i had to wait 3 month to be build..

finally arrived at the showroom.
as i signed paperwork, turned the key and drove it out the showroom the whole of the front bumper including spoiler fell off.

well, i endet up with a vectra garage car from them.
2 month later the new one came.

in red as purple wasnt available. less money too.
i agreed and had it.
60 miles down the road on the way home i endet up under a motorway bridge beacuse it started raining.

no. not because i didnt want the new car to get wet.
the sunroof didnt close and the wipers didnt work.

back to the garage. vectra for another 2 month.

got a black one at the end. buy the time i think we had a 40% cheaper brand new car. lol

on the way home the engine blow up. just as we reached 67 kilometer. ha ha.

back to the garage and bought a mercedes 190 E 2,5 which i had 5 years without problems.

bad experience on calibra, so no thanks. i would not buy one ever again. ( it was one of the the first v6 every build when they came out. )

General Car Chat / Re: Towing
« on: 01 February 2015, 10:55:20 »
5 berth 98 van.
towed it with the v70, pajero and the v40.
so actually should be ok to tow with the omega.
my question was more related to any issues the omegas may have.

the v70 needed a extra gearbox cooler for towing long distance.
it was a 2,4 v5 v70 petrol autobox estate
the pajero didnt need anything
the v40 had spring assistors on tgerear with having sports suspension

all just to make money.
why not just insure a car and it is insured.
other countrys doing it why is it so hard for the uk?

yeah. spend you're money to the goverment and they give it away to other counhtry's.
in one day insurance and short tax to get it home. all this vat they earn.
other option just by a new earth saving car.
govt sucks.
all the regulations are just good for them.

buying a used car is made nearly impossible by our govt so nobody makes money on selling a car anymore,
because you dont give them taxes when selling you're car.

buy a new one instead and spend your money in some small pisspot car with no space and style and support the manufacterer.
that's all about.

every govt around the uk try to get cars of the road but not rid of the support to other poor country's.

time the give the money we spend back to us instead forcing us to help others.

My two things.

Make sure the nose weight of your caravan when loaded is correct. The manufacturer of the caravan will have an ideal weight. The maximum weight on the towbar for our Omega was 75Kg and the minimum nose weight for our caravan was 75kg. We used a guage you can buy cheaply enough.

Second thing is that towing shows up weaknesses not visible before. Specifically cooling system. We never had a single time where the cooling temp went too high until we towed. A new radiator cured that.

thats advise.
thanks.
the volvo did this too.
no probs with any other cars.lol

More important does your license allow you to tow a caravan?

hgv class 1 and adr.
guess i can tow a little shoebox behind. lol

There will be plenty more now they are no longer the golden boy of the car world that can save the planet.

i don't really like diesel cars, but i also never looked after saving the world too.
hence my big powered cars.
as long as goverment's and country's blowing there air polution's out by allowing the big company's to do so i don't care and don't want to spend my hard earned money in saving the planet.  8)

sorry if this sounds careless and ignorant but that's my opinion.
