thank you every one! i have had 14 or so cars since i passed my test in late 2003, so have been on various forums. I must say so far that this is the most welcoming. i said in my first post that i dont even have an omega yet, but i have had plenty of hellos and lots of answers to my questions :) thanks all

thanks for getting back to me so promptly - im on a bit of a budget looking to spend about a grand at the max, so i think most LPGs i have seem will be out of my range. There are two manuals near me on autotrader (estates) a 2L gls and a 2.5 CD - what MPG would i get from the 2.5? as that is the size engine i ideally want.
Im sure i saw someone on here quoting 19mpg round town for a 2.5L - is that about right?

hi all though i would register as looking to buy and omega soon.

i want an estate but the question is with the price of fuel 2L or 2.5L

i want a manual car so can any one tell me the mpg these should return? particularly round town?

or could anyone tell me if i could fit my medium frame bike in the back of a saloon - after taking the front wheel off and putting the back seats down?

thanks
