In the warmer months I go to Tesco and buy 15 litres of Rapeseed oil to put in the wifes Rover Diesel which works out at about .54 pence per litre or 3 litres for £1.62. I went today and 3 litres is now £2.97 which is only 50p cheaper than Diesel. Oh well there goes the cheaper motoring :(

There's a chinese cash and carry that we go to that sell 25 litre drums of oil. Can't remember how much they were but it struck me at the time that they were much cheaper than diesel.
Still planning to convert to LPG?

That engine has the mondeo got?
I've heard that some Ford lumps have problems with valve seat recession when running LPG. Not sure how much truth there is in that, but it might be a factor to consider.

Have you factored in the extra tax you also need to donate to Gordon and Alistair for their Christmas bash? ;)

Ahh, OK. the Zetec might be all right. I've heard bad things about the V6 Duratec. Give it a go and see what happens. Plenty of replacement heads in the scrap yards for those. :y
